DESCRIPTION:Chapter 21 of the Courtyard Sessions will feature Fretz & Reedz\, bringing you timeless rock\, jazz and blues classics in a way you’ve never heard before. The band will be joining us at the Cafe on Saturday 20th October from 6pm. \nMuzz\, Mick\, Max and Gail have come together to provide a unique musical experience as Fretz & Reedz. Muzz’s guitar work sets a dynamic new rhythm to classic rock\, country and blues. You’ll hear old favourites given fresh new appeal being played in styles from a bossa nova to reggae beat. Muzz’s vocals are unique and powerful. Mick\, a traditional bluesman on the harmonica\, plays wailing blues rock to smooth minor strains. Mick also adds alto sax behind some of Muzz’s unique renditions of old jazz standards. Gail a vocalist trained in gospel\, blues and jazz traditions\, provides strong female vocals to the old jazz and blues standards as well as singing backup. Max’s youthful approach and improvisational jazz style on trombone add a unique flavour to the band’s take on the old rock and blues standards. \nThe COURTYARD SESSIONS are a series of alternative music and art events that will feature an eclectic showcase of original and alternative live music\, poetry\, improv\, exhibitions and more; from local and interstate\, it’s a place for musicians\, performers and artists of all kinds. Each “Chapter” will be held in The Downward Dog Co. Café’s beautiful stone courtyard in the heart of Bodalla. \nFretz & Reedz will begin their performance at 6pm on Saturday 20th of October.
