Courtyard Sessions Featuring Morton Choppers

CHAPTER 25 of the Courtyard Sessions will feature touring solo singer/songwriter Morton Choppers from Sydney plus local support Robin Simpson.
Morton Choppers is a talented performer from Sydney. He plays a blend of folk, blues, country and Australiana that he’s been honing over “the last year travelling around this fine country in my converted transit van”. Morton performs a mix of his own songs as well as revamped folk tunes and some classics that you are sure to know. His fun performances include a unique blend of accessible stories and humour everyone can enjoy. This show is part of Morton Choppers wider national tour, which includes dates at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Supporting Morton will be our own local talent, Robin Simpson. Originally from Savusavu, Fiji, Rob is now one of the incredible musicians that call the South Coast home. Playing a mix of blues, reggae and roots, he will bring some relaxed vibes to kick off another great night of music at the Café.
The COURTYARD SESSIONS are a series of alternative music and art events that will feature an eclectic showcase of original and alternative live music, poetry, improv, exhibitions and more; from local and interstate, it’s a place for musicians, performers and artists of all kinds. Each “Chapter” will be held in The Downward Dog Co. Café’s beautiful stone courtyard in the heart of Bodalla.
Music starts at 6pm Saturday 9th February.
